Pakistan Wants to Expand Bilateral Relations with Indonesia

Islamabad, August 26 (Online Int’l): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan wants to further expand its bilateral relations with Indonesia.
Talking to the outgoing Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan Suyudhie Amri in Islamabad on Wednesday, he emphasized on further promoting bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including defence and commerce.
The Foreign Minister thanked Indonesia for playing its positive role in a debate held in the UN Security Council on Kashmir. The outgoing Ambassador lauded Pakistan’s role in successfully overcoming the COVID19 pandemic.
Earlier, talking to US Charge de Affairs Paul Jones who paid a farewell call on the Foreign Minister in Islamabad, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the promotion of Pakistan-US ties is imperative for ensuring peace and stability in the region, including the Afghan peace process. He thanked the US diplomat for the timely US assistance to deal with the COVID19 pandemic. Paul Jones lauded Pakistan’s role in the Afghan reconciliatory process and for peace and stability in the region.
