Pakistan Will not Allow US any Bases into Afghanistan. Absolutely not: PM Khan
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan clearly states that Pakistan will not allow US to use Pakistani land as bases for operations in Afghanistan after the US will withdraw its troops’.
PM Imran Khan appeared in an interview hosted by Jonathan Swan on HBO Axios which is scheduled to be aired on Monday at 3pm Pakistani time.
HBO Axios took to share the clip from the interview on twitter where PM clearly states that there is no chance that Islamabad will allow its military bases to be used by US.
US has requested Pakistan for providing space to its military after they withdraw their troops from Afghanistan to which Pakistan has said to Washington that it is not possible.
Jonathan Swan questioned Imran Khan that will you allow the American government to have the CIA here in Pakistan to conduct cross border counter-terrorism missions against Al Qaeda, ISIS and the Taliban?
“Absolutely not,” PM Imran Khan responded.
“There’s no way we’re going to allow any bases or any sort of action from Pakistani territory into Afghanistan. Absolutely not.”
