Pakistani Prisoners Released By State of Qatar

53 Pakistani prisoners have been released by the State of Qatar on a special request by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan had made a brief stay in Qatar on his way back from the US and met the Emir of Qatar. During his brief stopover in Qatar, the Prime Minister requested HE Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to release Pakistani prisoners in Qatar.

A special ceremony was held on the release of prisoners from the jail of Doha. Pakistani prisoners thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Qatari government as well.

The majority of the prisoners released from Qatar’s prison are from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who were jailed for minor offenses.
