In a hilarious take on the topic, she satirizes the good and the bad aspects of Eid, and what it truly means to celebrate this festival.
At one point Saleem says, “remember when relatives used to visit early in the morning and we would be sleeping? Or, even if we were awake, we would still be in our night clothes? and get a scolding from ammi!”

At another point she says, “remember the relatives who used to give us ten rupee notes as Eidi?” She goes on to talk about how often relatives give a collective Eidi to siblings which leads to multiple arguments over who gets how much money and so on.

In typical Faiza Saleem fashion, she urges people to celebrate Eid within their homes rather than visiting relatives and friends carelessly. She further urges people to remember that while the government has allowed SoPs to ease lockdown across the state it does not mean that we are free from the fear of contracting COVID-19 and should thereby stay at home and enjoy Eid with simplicity to ensure the safety of our loved ones and our community, respectively.
