Dec 29, 2021: Pakistan’s first animated series ‘Super sohni’ is ready for release to raise awareness about sexual harassment in children.
According to a report by BaaghiTV, the well-known social organization of Lahore ‘Samaj’ has prepared an animated series in collaboration with the German Embassy in Pakistan. The series aims to provide awareness on and aids in prevention of incidents of harassment.
The first episode of ‘Super Sohni’ based on 10 episodes will be released on Friday 31st December. German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernard Schlagheck has also shared the teaser of ‘Super Sohni’ on Twitter.
Bernard Schlagheck hopes that the awareness that is awakened in children through ‘Super Sohni’ will help them deal with such a situation.
“Our partners are launching a video series to raise awareness on serious issues such as sexual harassment,” he wrote. This is a very important project from which he hopes the children will learn a lot to protect themselves from such incidents. He said he looks forward to this project.
Sahar Mirza, executive director of Samaj, a social organization that makes Super Sohni, says animation is the best way to get children’s attention and to teach them. After watching Super Sohni, children will not only become aware of different types of sexual harassment but also they will be able to talk to their parents or guardians about this issue without any fear.
