Siraj-ul Haq, the Amir (chief) of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded a transparent investigation against all 700 Pakistanis who have been named in the Pandora Papers Leak by International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

In his statement, Siraj-ul-Haq said that there should be an impartial and transparent investigation against 700 people involved in Pandora Papers. He demanded immediate resignation of the ministers and advisers who have been named in the Pandora Papers and said that if they do not resign, the government should remove them from their posts.

Furthermore, Siraj-ul-Haq said that the names of government employees included in the Pandora Papers should also be removed from their posts. He said that in order to avoid government influence and transparency in the investigation, it was necessary that those whose names were in the Panama Papers should also be investigated.

He said that selective accountability has gone awry so far, the accountability process has become infamous. Accountability should be seen in the real sense instead of temporary political benefit, he added.

It is to be noted that the ICIJ has once again released the names of companies and owners set up to evade taxes.

According to the ICIJ, the financial investigation was completed in two years, with 600 journalists from 150 media outlets in 117 countries investigating. The Pandora Papers contains the names of more than 700 Pakistanis and contains 11 million files.

The investigation into the financial affairs was completed in two years and the details of the investigation will come out in a few hours. The Pandora Papers include more Pakistani names than the Panama Papers.

Keep in mind that if an offshore company has been declared in accordance with the law and that company is not used for any illegal work, then forming an offshore company is not an illegal act in itself.
