According to the report of Baaghi TV, the case related to Park Lane reference was heard in the accountability court in Islamabad.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari’s lawyer Farooq H Naik’s arguments are continuing in the court, Farooq H Naik’s arguments refer to various decisions of the Supreme Court and High Courts.
Farooq H Naik said in the court that it is requested that the court first decide the jurisdiction of NAB. The NAB prosecutor objected that the application could not be filed at all times in the reference.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari has filed another petition for deletion of the reference. The petition requested the court to declare the reference against Asif Zardari as against the law.
It should be noted that former President Asif Ali Zardari had said in reply to NAB regarding Park Lane that Park Lane Company was bought from Sadruddin Hashwani in 1989. Iqbal Memon, Bilawal, Rehmatullah, Muhammad Younis and Altaf Hussain were my partners. Park Lane owned only 25% of the company. He resigned as a company director on September 1, 2008, before becoming president.
According to NAB, Asif Zardari is a 25% shareholder of Park Lane Company. Asif Zardari took a loan of Rs 1.5 billion by setting up a fake company Parthenon. Corruption and money laundering of Asif Zardari and his associates has been proved.
