LAHORE: National Assembly Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor visited Allama Iqbal Industrial City and office of the Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company. The committee led by Chairman Shair Ali Arbab visited the domestic and foreign industrial units in the Allama Iqbal Industrial City and reviewed the pace of construction work.
On this occasion, the members of Parliamentary Committee were briefed in FIEDMC. The members of the committee expressed satisfaction over the construction work in Allama Iqbal Industrial City and directed the management to speed up the development work. Chairman Parliamentary Committee said that the economic zone is of great importance and issues should be resolved immediately.
He said that speeding up of CPEC projects are the priority and this project is a game changer for the economic development of the region. He said that feeders should be increased in Allama Iqbal Industrial City for speedy supply of electricity. Other members of the parliamentary committee also stressed the need to expedite the development work of Allama Iqbal Industrial City. CEO informed that the list of cancelled plots will also be shared to the parliamentary committee. Reiterating his commitment, Director FIEDMC said that the affairs of M3 Industrial City would be run on fast track.
