PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s lawyer, Rana Intezar said that the former Punjab chief minister will be presented in a district court on Sunday (May 4) in Lahore in a case registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) has shifted PTI President Parvez Elahi from Gujranwala to its headquarters in Lahore, ACE spokesperson Abdul Wahid told media persons.

Earlier, Punjab Assembly Secretary Rai Mumtaz Hussain was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in a case pertaining to illegal appointments in the provincial assembly, says ACE spokesperson Abdul Wahid.

So far two cases have been quashed by lower judiciary in Lahore and Gujranwala courts, however, Elahi was arrested again in another case of alleged illegal appointments in PA during his tenure.

He said Hussain was arrested after the allegations against him were proved .

“He made illegal appointments in the Punjab Assembly in collusion with Parvez Elahi,” the spokesperson added,
