According to reports, the administration allowed the opposition parties to hold a rally on October 16 at Jinnah Stadium. The Pakistan Muslin League Nawaz (PML-N) leadership had applied to the district administration for permission to hold a rally at Jinnah Stadium.

The district administration has given conditional permission to the organizers to hold the meeting. The management directed the organizers to follow the Karuna SOPs in all cases.

It may be recalled that the first meeting of the PDM will be held on October 16 in Gujranwala, which will be hosted by the PML-N. Similarly, the PPP will lead the meeting to be held in Karachi on October 18.
