PDM meeting continues to discuss inflation

The anti-government coalition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has convened a meeting on how to make the people its allies against rising inflation.

It was started under the leadership of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. It has begun to consider the practicalities of protesting against rising inflation across the country. The meeting is being chaired by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the anti-government coalition, while PDM The leadership of the parties involved is participating through the video link.

The meeting is attended by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Mahmood Achakzai, Sardar Akhtar Mengal and Aftab Sherpao.

The meeting will consider the strategy for the joint sitting of Parliament on November 10. The issue of rising prices of petroleum products will also be considered in the meeting. The meeting will also consider the strategy for protesting against rising inflation.

It may be recalled that a few days ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing the nation had said that it was inevitable to increase the prices of petroleum products otherwise the deficit would increase.

A day after the speech, the federal government sharply increased the prices of petroleum products. The price of petrol was increased by more than Rs 8 per liter.
