PDM to demonstrate sit-in outside Election Commission of Pakistan

PPP's Bilawal Bhutto Zardari not to participate, according to Baaghi TV reports.

According to a report by Baaghi TV, a coalition of opposition parties, the PDM, to demonstrate political strength outside the Election Commission today (ECP).

The government has allowed the PDM to enter the red zone. The protest will be for progress in the PTI foreign funding case.

On the other hand, fences were erected around the Election Commission and the main road was closed. Police, Rangers, CTD women personnel were deployed outside the Election Commission.

The PDM leadership will be stationed at Kashmir Chowk, and will reach the Election Commission on board the container. Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Maryam Nawaz will participate in the protest, Bilawal Zardari will not participate in this protest of PDM.

PML-N directed its leaders and workers to appear before the Election Commission today. The leadership of PML-N’s Islamabad and Rawalpindi divisions have been directed to bring a large number of workers with them and all leaders, MNAs and MPAs have been asked to appear before the Election Commission in case of rallies. PML-N clarified that the government should block the roads or arrests should be made in any case.

League leaders and workers from Lahore have been directed to come to Islamabad in convoys. Maryam Nawaz will also go to the Election Commission office in the form of a rally. PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will lead a rally from Chungi Motorway Chowk No. 26 today, in front of the Election Commission to participate in the demonstration. JUI’s convoy will enter the red zone from Aabpara via Srinagar Highway. Containers have been prepared for the rally while Maulana Fazlur Rehman will host a luncheon in honor of the leaders of the opposition parties.
