The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has officially prohibited the broadcast of the drama series titled ‘Hadsa’.

The drama’s objectionable content has prompted this action, as stated in an official notification released by the authority on the X platform (previously known as Twitter).

Barrister Khadija Siddiqi filed a complaint, represented by Barrister Muhammad Ahmed Pansota, against the serial. The complaint cited Section 27 of the Pemra Ordinance 2002 and other legal provisions as grounds for taking action.

Additionally, Pemra received numerous complaints from viewers via its Twitter account about the drama series’ plot and theme. The viewers have expressed criticism towards the drama’s portrayal of a real incident that occurred on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.
