Performance of Govt departments to be monitored?
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to monitor the performance of government departments.
According to details, a Performance Appraisal and Management Cell will be set up in the Administrative Affairs Department to monitor government departments. The cell will review statistics on the performance of various departments and keep records.
The cell will submit a report to the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on a monthly basis.
It may be recalled that in recent days, irregularities were revealed in the selection of testing institutes for recruitment examinations in government departments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the investigation report sent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, various government departments chose the agency of their choice for the test, ignoring the rules of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA).
Later, Chief Minister Mehmood Khan took notice of the complaints received regarding recruitment in the departments. A three-member committee headed by DIG Special Branch Akhtar Hayat Khan has been set up for the investigation and now a Performance Appraisal and Management Cell will be set up in the Administrative Affairs Department.
