Baaghi TV: The government has decided to increase the number of buses in Peshawar after the popularity of the BRT project, which has recently become operational. Up to 128 buses will run on the route.

The most criticized project of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) crossed the line of popularity among the people from the very beginning of BRT. The rush of passengers began to increase day by day. People demanded the government to run more buses.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) mega project BRT in Peshawar, which was completed at a cost of Rs 69 billion, was opened to the public on August 13, after which there was a rush of people. At the BRT bus station, where long queues were visible, there was no place to stand in the buses.

In just two weeks, the people demanded the government to increase the number of buses.

On the other hand, Information Adviser Kamran Bangash said that initially only 70 buses were run on BRT route while the next day 20 buses were added but in view of public difficulties more 20 buses are being added. According to the Information Adviser, more than one lakh passengers are traveling in BRT daily while 220 buses will be run in phases in this project.

The bus Rapid Transit (BRT) met with an accident near Nishtarabad. The bus went out of control and hit the wall of the bridge due to which the route was closed, while 3 persons were injured in the accident.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Passengers on the bus protested and demanded a refund from the administration.

Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Peshawar BRT project on August 13. But a day after the inauguration, there was severe chaos. People rushed to the BRT route and beat up security personnel. Those involved were arrested after footage of the incident surfaced.
