Petition filed in LHC against the exhibition of ‘Joyland’
The film is made against moral values, the petitioner contends
An application has been filed in the Lahore High Court to ban the screening of the Pakistani film Joyland.
The petitioner has taken a stand that this film has been made against moral and religious values. The film can break the family system in Islamic society.
The petitioner says that permission cannot be issued to a film like Joyland. He also pleaded that the film should not be allowed to be screened in Pakistan but should be banned. Censor certificate of the film should be cancelled.
It should be noted that the Pakistani film Joyland has been released in various theaters of the country from November 18. However, the screening of this film has been banned in Punjab.
