26th October 2020: A petition has been filed in the court for the termination of diplomatic and economic relations with France.
Baaghi TV: A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court seeking termination of diplomatic and economic relations with France.
The Martyrs’ Foundation of Pakistan has filed a petition through Tariq Asad Advocate. In the petition, the Federation of Pakistan has been made a party through the Federal Foreign Secretary, the Prime Minister through the Principal Secretary, and the Federal Secretary of Home Affairs has ordered the government to summon the French ambassador and force the French government to apologize for not only for the publication of the blasphemous sketches but also to stop Charlie Hebdo magazine from publishing the next blasphemous sketches.
The court was also asked to order the federal government to officially boycott French products. The court found the federal government guilty of blasphemy and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
For the first time, the French government sponsored the publication of blasphemous sketches at the governmental level. The government of Pakistan has not yet taken any effective steps against the publication of blasphemous sketches at the official level in France. Prime Minister Imran Khan has condemned the publication of blasphemous sketches at the official level in France through tweets, the Pakistani government has not yet bothered to summon the French ambassador to the Foreign Office.
The petition further said that the publication of blasphemous sketches at the official level in France is a very sensitive and serious matter, but the attitude of the government of Pakistan in this matter is very irresponsible.
