PHA to launch investigation into disclosure of government money for personal use

LAHORE (29th July, 2020): Former Director Finance, Nadeem Khan, has been accused of keeping government money in his personal account, according to reports. PHA officials have reportedly requested DG Anti-Corruption to open an inquiry.

Sources said that former PHA director Javed Hamid has requested DG Anti-Corruption to start an investigation against Nadeem Khan. According to sources, financial irregularities of Rs 50 crore have been revealed in PHA. Former Director Finance Nadeem Khan is accused of financial irregularities amounting to Rs 50 crore. According to PHA sources, Nadeem Khan kept government money in his account for several months.

According to sources, the government money was fixed in the Punjab Bank for several months on which keeping the government money in his personal account caused loss to the department. According to PHA officials, the PHA has recommended anti-corruption action against Nadeem Khan. The DG PHA said it would look into the matter of serious allegations on merit.

According to sources, investigative agencies have received reports that many more officials have misappropriated government funds for personal use and caused huge losses to the exchequer. Following these reports, more big bureaucrats can now be investigated.
