PHC orders Tik Tok to be banned from today

Lahore, 11th March: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) has ordered to ban the popular video-sharing app Tik Tok.
Baaghi TV: According to reports, on Thursday PHC ordered the authorities concerned to impose a ban on TikTok.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid Khan issued a directive to impose a ban on the app from today.
PHC Chief Justice, while, hearing a petition for the government to block immoral content on Tik Tok, remarked, “Videos being uploaded on TikTok are unacceptable to our society. TikTok videos are peddling vulgarity in society.”
Chief Justice ordered that this app be blocked immediately.
The Director-General of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) told the court that the authority approached the TikTok management to get the objectionable and indecent content removed but to no avail.
At this, the court instructed that the app should remain blocked until TikTok officials cooperate with the PTA.
The PTA DG informed that 4.5 million videos are uploaded on the app in Pakistan daily. He added it is impossible to filter all the videos since they are in different languages.
