PIA A320 receives water cannon salute at Baku Airport

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday operated the first direct flight from the country’s Lahore city to Azerbaijan’s capital city of Baku, the Pakistani Embassy in Azerbaijan said.

According to the details, PIA Airbus A320 aircraft registration AP-BMX arrived in Baku at 13:16 (Baku time) airline’s inaugural flight PK-6159 from Lahore completed in 4 hours.

Moreover, PIA Airbus A320 aircraft registration AP-BLW arrived in Baku at 14:39 (Baku time). The airline’s inaugural flight PK-153 from Karachi completed in 3 hours & 17 minutes.

Starting this week, the national flag carrier will operate regular direct flights from the country’s Karachi and Lahore to Baku. Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) is also planning to launch direct flights from Baku to Lahore.
