PIA aircraft grounded in Malaysia, leaves for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft grounded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has left for Islamabad.

According to Baaghi TV reports, the aircraft Boeing 777 registration AP BMH has left Kuala Lumpur for Islamabad.

The plane will reach Islamabad at 10:30 pm according to Pakistan Standard Time confirmed a spokesperson for PIA.

It is pertinent to mention that the aircraft had been grounded in Malaysia after a local court issued orders citing ‘non-payment’ of dues.

According to an earlier report, Baaghi TV confirmed that the flight grounded in Kuala Lumpur had been allowed to return to Pakistan after a period of three days during which PIA management worked to have the orders suspended.

On May 26, a local court in Malaysia issued the orders to stop the plane without either summoning or issuing notice(s) to PIA. The order to stop the plane was received by the relevant airport and airline authorities merely minutes before take-off, on May 29.

according to earlier reports, the aircraft was expected to depart for Islamabad via flight PK6893 from Kuala Lumpur as soon as the transit permit would be received.
