PIA Announces Special Flights for Arba'een

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced special flights to Najaf, Baghdad and Damascus on account of Arba’een.

According to reports, these flights will start on September 17 and will continue until September 24. They will depart directly from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

In total, from Karachi, there will be 12 flights – 8 flights to Najaf, 3 to Damascus, and one to Baghdad

Three flights will depart from Lahore – one to Najaf, one to Baghdad, and one to Damascus.

For Islamabad, only one flight will take off, from Islamabad to Najaf.

It is to be noted that PIA operates special flights to facilitate visitors on important religious occasions.

The PIA spokesperson has said that the national airline has always been at the forefront of recognizing and aiding visits to holy sites. Recently, the airline was also instrumental in building a humanitarian air bridge with Afghanistan and has been carrying relief supplies to the war-torn nation. The second plane of aid just arrived in Kandahar recently.
