PIA, CAA and ATC held responsible for Karachi plane crash
Investigation report of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash in Karachi has held the national carrier and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) responsible for the incident. According to the sources, an interim investigation report of the PIA plane crash has been prepared which was handed over by the President of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) to the Aviation Minister. However, the report will be presented to the Prime Minister later today. Sources said that the report blamed PIA and the CAA for the accident and also termed the procedures of PIA and CAA as failing to prevent accidents. Moreover, the report also blamed the cockpit crew and air traffic controller of the plane for the accident, while the cause of the accident did not rule out a technical fault in the plane.
