Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to sell 6 retired Airbus 320 aircraft from its fleet and directed interested companies to submit applications.
According to details, it was decided to sell 6 retired Airbus 320 aircraft from PIA’s fleet. Proposals have been sought from leading companies for pricing these aircraft without engines.
The national flag carrier has directed the interested companies to submit their applications by 3:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on October 26, 2021 saying that the bidding will be opened on the same day at 4:00 pm (PST) in the presence of the bidders.

It is pertinent to mention here that the registration numbers of the aircraft that are going to be auctioned are as follows:
- AP-BLS
- AP-BLT
- AP-BLU
- AP-BLV
- AP-BLW
- AP-BLA
It may be recalled that last month, Pakistan International Airlines had sold an ATR aircraft parked at Gilgit Airport for Rs 8.3 million. The successful bid in the auction of the aircraft was given to the local contractor of Gilgit.

According to sources, the engine and other equipment of the defunct ATR aircraft were sold by weight. The spokesman said the aircraft was valued at Rs 0.844 million for the auction, but was auctioned at 10 times the fixed price.
