PIA gets operating licenses for two more cities in China

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) granted two more operating licences to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), enabling it to conduct flight operations between Pakistan and the two more Chinese cities.
According to details, PIA has been granted licenses to operate passenger flights to the Chinese cities of Guangzhou and Xian. The airline’s country manager Qadir Bux Sangi said on Sunday that previously PIA only had an operating license for Beijing.
However, now the Chinese aviation authority has licensed the airline to operate flight operations between Pakistan and two more Chinese cities. As per the current standard operating procedures of CAAC, international carriers can operate one flight a week to China.

According to the country manager, the national flag carrier has also applied for an operating license for Chengdu station, which is under consideration, and hopefully will be approved next month.
About cargo flights, the country manager said Chinese authorities had granted approval for the national flag carrier to operate chartered cargo flights to Kunming and Shenzhen cities, while approval for Kashgar, Xinjiang was under process.
