KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced a Voluntary Separation Scheme for its employees on Monday (today). According to the details, the ‘VSS scheme’ of voluntary separation from employment has been launched for fourteen (14) days. PIA employees can apply for VSS till December 22, 2020. All the regular employees of the national airline with age of less than fifty-eight (58) years can apply for the scheme. However, regular employees with age of fifty-eight (58) years or above cannot apply for the voluntary separation scheme. Moreover, the contract employees not eligible to apply for the VSS. A lump sum payment will be made to the eligible employees of the scheme on January 31, 2021.
