PIA Starts Investigation After Drugs Recovered from the Aircraft

Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and customs officials raided a Dammam-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 777 aircraft at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and seized drugs.

According to customs sources, a search of the plane was started at 7:00 pm (local time) on Monday on a tip-off. Drugs were recovered from the plane during a three-hour search with the help of sniffer dogs. Sources said that the unidentified suspects had secretly hidden drugs in the toilet of PIA flight PK 9245’s Boeing 777 aircraft.

According to sources, two packets of high quality hashish were hidden in the toilet of the PIA aircraft. Sources said that after the drugs were recovered, the authorities started questioning the officers and employees of other departments including ground handling and flight catering as to how the drugs got on the plane.
