PIA Suspends Kabul Flight Operations For Indefinite Period

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has cancelled all the flights scheduled for Kabul on Saturday (today) due to unavailability of necessary facilities at Kabul airport.
According to PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan, flight operations will remain closed for the next few days due to uncertain situation in Afghanistan. While talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that the national flag carrier has successfully evacuated 1,500 people including journalists, United Nations (UN) officials and Pakistani citizens in five flights as of now.
“We have talked with the Afghan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) to resume all required facilities at Kabul airport as soon as possible so that PIA could restore its flight operation,” said Abdullah Hafeez Khan.
