PIA to add two A320s from Irish aviation company

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), entered an agreement for two A320-200 aircraft with from Seraph Aviation Group, an Irish aviation asset management company on June 21, 2021. According to the details, the competition was tough in the latest bid evaluation where over 130 aircrafts were put up for offer with PIA requiring eight narrowbodies. The aircraft are expected to be delivered to the Pakistani airline in July and August 2021. “We are delighted to have secured a contract for two A320-200s with Pakistan International Airlines. This follows a process in which we faced strong competition, but where the combination of technical ability and financial modelling achieved the highest marks,” David Butler, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Seraph Aviation Group was quoted in the statement. PIA board gets a new chairman “We look forward to delivering both aircraft in the coming months and to commencing a long and positive relationship with Pakistan International Airlines,” he added.
