Islamabad September 11 (Online): A female nurse at Pakistan Institute of Medical Science has registered the harassment case against Deputy Executive Director.
The case has been registered with the Karachi Company police, in which the applicant claimed that she was on routine duty when she received a message that deputy executive director Iqbal Durrani has summoned her to his office. When she arrived in his office, the officer attempted to harass her but she escaped from there.
According to details, the incident took place on September 1, 2020 when a senior nurse of Islamabad’s largest hospital had submitted a complaint to the executive director accusing Iqbal Durrani of attempting to sexually harass her.
Initially, the PIMS senior management adopted delay tactics but on Friday the senior nurse succeeded to register a case against the deputy executive director Durrani.
Following the complaint, the hospital authorities started victimizing the nurse, including issuing show-cause notices. It is to mention here that the senior nurse was placed duty at six different locations within a day as tactics to pressure her to withdraw the case.
