Lahore, 28th June: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that he sacked health minister Matt Hancock as soon as he saw a story of his affair.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday that he fired Matt Hancock over reports of his affair despite initially backing him when he was caught in a controversy of having an affair with an aide.

Hours after the CCTV footage of the Health Minister appeared the premier’s spokesperson informed that Mr. Johnson had closed the matter and had full confidence in Mr. Hancock who would keep his job because he said sorry.

However, Cabinet members have warned they were unwilling to support Hancock in public over his affair with a senior aide

It is to be noted that on Saturday, Matt Hancock said in his video statement that he had resigned after he breached social distancing protocol by kissing Gina Coladangelo against his office door.

Today Boris Johnson implied that he fired his health secretary after he saw the story of his romance on Friday and announced to have a new Secretary of State for Health on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a Tory minister defended Matt Hancock saying that he had worked without a break during the pandemic despite claims that he may have been cheating on his wife with an aide for a year.

It has also emerged when Matt’s aide Gina Coladangelo was confronted in 2019 by ministerial aides to Matt Hancock who asked her outrightly if there was any romance between the pair, something the twice-married mother-of-three flatly denied.

According to the latest reports, the new couple is lying low today and it is thought Miss Coladangelo is taking refuge in a rental home on the south coast.

It is still not clear where Mr. Hancock is, with no sign of him at either his marital home in London or constituency address in Suffolk as he faces a series of an investigation into his conduct including the decision to appoint Miss Coladangelo, using a private Gmail account for work and health contracts secured by friends and acquaintances during the pandemic.
