Welcoming the shocking ‘Pandora Papers’ around the world, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has announced that the government will investigate all the Pakistanis appearing in the Pandora Papers and take action against them. In a statement issued on Twitter, PM Imran Khan said that he welcomes the investigation into Pandora’s papers. The elites created illicit wealth through tax evasion and corruption and transferred illicit money to financially safe havens. The Prime Minister said that according to UN SG’s Panel FACTI, about ً $7 trillion has been kept in safe havens in which the illicit wealth of the elite has been exposed in the Pandora papers transferred mostly by offshore companies.
