PM Khan Disappointed with T20 Squad Selection, Changes Likely to Happen

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has expressed his displeasure over the national squad announced for the T20 International World Cup which is going to start from October 17, 2021.

According to the details, PM Imran Khan is very disappointed with the national squad announced for the T20 International World Cup and has directed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja to make immediate changes in the squad.

As a result, the chairman PCB has asked for time to make changes in international T2o squad till the completion of the first phase of the National Twenty20 Cup.

According to sources, many changes are expected in the T20 World Cup squad. Azam Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Hasnain are unlikely to join the squad due to poor performance in the National T20 Cup.

However, on the other hand, Fakhr Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Sarfraz Ahmed, Sharjeel Khan, Shahnawaz Dhani and Usman Qadir are expected to be included in the squad.

It may be recalled that according to the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines, changes can be made in the national squad till October 10, 2021.

According to sources, Rameez Raja will consult the selection committee and the captain after the completion of the first phase of the National T20 Cup. The first round of the National T20 Cup will end on October 3, 2021.
