PM Khan in talks with TTP in Afghanistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan says he is in talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to disband them and make them ordinary citizens again.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan in an interview with Turkish TV said that some groups of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) wanted to talk to the government, and as such, they are in touch with them. 

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the purpose of the talks was to disarm and disband the banned TTP and make them ordinary Pakistani citizens.

Replying to a question, Imran Khan said that the Afghan Taliban were playing the role of mediator in the talks with the banned TTP. The Taliban mediation is to such an extent that the talks are taking place in Afghanistan, he said..

The Prime Minister further said that if the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) surrenders, it will be forgiven, and they can live like ordinary citizens.

Talking about the situation in Afghanistan, the Prime Minister always said that there is no military solution to the problem of Afghanistan.
