Lahore, 23rd April: After an alarming increase in coronavirus cases in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the citizens to strictly follow the coronavirus SOPs. PM Imran Khan said that if we do not take precautions, in the next two weeks our situation will be like that in India. Citizens should ensure the implementation of COVID-19 SOPs if they want to avoid a complete lockdown. He said that wearing a mask solves half of the problem. The premier said that if the situation gets out of control, tough decisions will have to be taken. We will have to close the major cities if the situation becomes the same as in India. Prime Minister addressed the nation after chairing an important meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Friday, where the decision was expected to be taken regarding imposing a complete lockdown in areas with a positivity ratio of more than 10%.
