PM Khan rejects the summary by OGRA

Islamabad, 31st August: Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected the summary by OGRA and decides not to raise oil prices.

Baaghi TV: Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected OGRA’s summary and decided not to increase the prices of petroleum products.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister said that the country was facing a difficult situation due to rains and in the current situation the people could not be burdened. It may be recalled that OGRA had sent a summary to increase the price of petrol by Rs 9.71.

Petrol prices likely to go up from September 1

According to OGRA working, it was proposed to increase the price of petrol by Rs 7 and diesel by Rs 8 per liter.

The increase in petrol and diesel prices was based on a petroleum levy of Rs 30 per liter. The current price of petrol includes a levy of Rs 26.70 per liter. The current price of diesel is Rs 25.73 per liter.

Petrol and diesel were likely to go up by Rs 4 if the current rate of petroleum levy was not increased.

The prices of petroleum products will be adjusted for 15 days.
