PM Khan urges PTI leaders to contact Najeeb Haroon
Lahore, 20th April: Prime Minister, Imran Khan wants to persuade MNA Najeeb Haroon to take back his resignation and resume his position in the National Assembly.
Prime Minister Imran Khan telephoned Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and gave him the task of convincing Najeeb Haroon to resume his position. In a telephonic communication with Governor Sindh, Imran Khan said that Najeeb Haroon was one of the founding members of the party and should join the party again.
Various senior leaders of the party along with the Sindh Governor, Imran Ismail have approached one of the founding leaders of PTI, and the message of Prime Minister Imran Khan has been conveyed to Najeeb Haroon.
President Arif Alvi has also been in touch with Haroon and PM Khan is of the opinion that if necessary he will go over him personally and convince him to join the party again.
Breaking News: PTI’s member of Parliament resigns
It may be recalled that Mohammad Najeeb Haroon, the founding member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and a member of the National Assembly from constituency 256, resigned from his seat.
According to Haroon, he could not do anything for his constituency or the city of Karachi during his tenure of 20 months, so he was not entitled to this position. According to him, he was also being ignored by the party on many important decisions, which made him realize to resign from his post.
In his resignation letter, Najeeb Haroon addressed the PM Khan and wrote that 20 months in the National Assembly and 24 years after the creation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, he realized that he had failed to get the trust of his party leader.
