PM Khan visted earthquake affected areas

Prime Minister Imran Khan reached in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) Mirpur city  today morning and  express solidarity with the victims families of earthquake that wreaked destruction in the AJK.

In a meeting with the AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider, Prime Minister Imran was briefed on the financial losses and  lives as well as rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures taken by the AJK and NDM management.

The meeting, preside by the Pakistani prime Minister Imran Khan was also attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur and National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lt Gen Mohammad Afzal.

security arrangements were very strict in the area ahead of Prime Minister Imran Khan arrival.Prime Minster Imran khan also visited the District headquarters hospital to check after the health of some of the survivors of earthquake being treated there.

172 people were seriously injured and 680 people were not as much serious they have minor injuries. Of the seriously injured persons, 27 were still being treated at Divisional Headquarters Hospital Mirpur and three in the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Mangla, while the 300 had been discharged.
