Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lauded the efforts of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for peace in the Middle East as well as its significant role in the ceasefire understanding between Pakistan and India.
He was talking to Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malkiy, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister conveyed his respectful regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as well as to Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Shehbaz Sharif also fondly recalled his warm and cordial telephone conversation with the Crown Prince on 24th of last month.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan has assumed the rotating Presidency of the UN Security Council for the month of July, and would count on Saudi Arabia’s support to ensure that its tenure is conducted smoothly and successfully.
On the occasion, the Saudi Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for Pakistan’s role for peace and stability in the region.
