PM Pakistan not in favor of the emergency lockdown
Lahore, 22nd March: Pakistan’s renowned anchor, Mubasher Lucman has urged the Prime Minister to impose the emergency lockdown in the country to contain the spread of the virus.
The PM, Imran Khan has responded back to Mubasher Lucman’s question about the lockdown in the country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan responds to a question asked by Mubasher Lucman: “We are against a lockdown and an economic closure”.
According to the details, Mubasher Lucman joined a meeting of senior journalists with Imran Khan in which he added that we should have a flow of information at the government level so that we can guide people in the right direction.
Lucman adamant for the emergency lockdown
Imran Khan said in response to Mubasher Lucman that it is our endeavor that we should correct the data of the victims of coronavirus effects for the benefit of the government to take appropriate action against the disease.
He said that we can not put a lockdown in a country like Pakistan because if we did, people who are workers and earning a little bit on a daily basis will be affected and thus they will die of hunger. Construction work will continue where public activities are closed. Jobs cannot be closed. In these circumstances, Imran Khan denied any lockdown.
However, it is now being demanded by all sides to lock down the country sooner rather than later, as this is the only way to tie the storm ahead.
The number of coronavirus patients in the country is increasing rapidly. It is to be noted that in view of the rising situation in the country, Punjab government has ordered to close all shopping malls and restaurants from 9 am Sunday to 9 am on Tuesday.
According to the Punjab government notification, the pharmacies, clinics, grocery stores, flour mills, workshops, petrol pumps, vegetable and fruit shops will remain open as usual while strict action will be taken in case of violation.
