Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s support for Iran at all diplomatic forums including the UN Security Council and the OIC.
He extended the support during telephonic conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister also called for adherence to international law and principles of the UN Charter by all sides.
He said Pakistan is closely following the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East and emphasized the importance of restoring peace through dialogue and diplomacy.
In his remarks, Iranian President thanked the Prime Minister for the telephone call and appreciated Pakistan’s consistent and principled support to Iran.
Masoud Pezeshkian also acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role for peaceful resolution to the conflict.
