PM takes a firm decision regarding petrol prices

Lahore, 28th February: A sigh of relief for Pakistanis, as petrol prices will remain the same in the month of March.

Baaghi TV: According to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Special Assistant on political communication Shahbaz Gill, the prices of petroleum products will remain the same for the month of March.

Gill posted on Twitter that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had recommended an increase of Rs 6-7 per litre but Prime Minister Imran Khan turned it down.

He said, “The government has made no increase in the prices of petroleum products.” Gill also shared the summary that had been forwarded to the premier by the Finance Division for approval.

The summary showed that an increase of Rs 6.22 had been recommended for Petrol, Rs 6.82 for High-Speed Diesel, Rs 6.37 for Kerosene and Rs 5.78 for Light Diesel Oil.

However, the rates will  remain the same for the month of March, which are as follows:

High-Speed Diesel Rs 116.08
Kerosene Rs 80.19
Light Diesel Oil Rs 79.23
