According to Baaghi TV, Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Lahore today on a one-day visit. They will also lay the foundation stone of a new city.
Apart from meeting Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, the Prime Minister will also preside over high level meetings. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a new modern city on the banks of the Ravi River.
A meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will be held in the Chief Minister’s House. A meeting with members of National and Provincial Assemblies is also on the agenda of the visit. IG Punjab and Chief Secretary will also meet the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the National Coordinating Committee on Housing and Construction. The Prime Minister will preside over a meeting on reforms and new initiatives in the education system of Punjab.
In the matter of setting up a modern city north of Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar approved the establishment of River Ravi Front Authority. The Punjab government will issue an ordinance for the establishment of the authority. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar will be the chairman of the authority.
The authority will work to build a new city. The new city will be built in the style of Dubai. The new city will be built on an area of more than one lakh acres.
The private sector is expected to invest Rs 5,000 billion. The construction of high rise buildings in the new city will be given priority. With the establishment of the new city, the environmental, water and traffic problems of Lahore city will be overcome.
A large lake will also be built in the new city, 3 barrages will also be built. The Punjab Chief Minister has approved the authority in this regard.
