ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) issued a warning on Friday against distributing fake MDCAT 2021 results and announced that it had initiated an investigation into the matter.

The PMC stated in a handout provided today that the students were sent hard copies of false result copies and that all parties involved would face severe consequences. “Those who are involved in the spreading of fake documents will be held accountable in a court of law,” it stated, adding that the MDCAT 2021 results were confirmed and published on the commission’s website.

Several students challenged the recently held Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) across the country in the Sindh High Court (SHC).

The petition was submitted on behalf of the students by Hassan Khan, a lawyer. The applicants claimed that the test for admission to medical and dentistry schools was riddled with flaws. Students’ futures are on the line, they added.

Official respondents in the petition were the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), the medical tribunal, and others. Students have organized protests across the country, demanding that the test be retaken to assure “transparency and merit.”

On October 1, a group of students met with Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, to express their worries and frustrations regarding the test. The PMC, on the other hand, has denied allegations of problems in the test, claiming that it was conducted under the best possible conditions.
