The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) warned of urban flooding, waterlogging as the monsoon rains continue throughout the country. According to the details, River Indus at Guddu is in low flood level, while all the other major rivers are flowing below low flood level. River Jhelum at Mangla (upstream) is likely to attain exceptionally high flood level during next 36 Hours, while River Chenab at Marala, Khanki & Qadirabad is likely to attain high flood level during next 48 Hours. According to the PMD notification, wide spread thunderstorm/rain with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Kabul, Jhelum, Chenab & Ravi along with Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Rawalpindi & Gujranwala Divisions for the next 24 hours.
