PML-N President for cut in Gov’t spending to boost relief
A consultative meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was held in Lahore today to review relief measures being taken by the federal and Punjab governments.
The meeting presided over by party president Nawaz Sharif was also attended by the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
During the meeting, political and economic situation of the country and development projects came under discussion.
Meanwhile, talking to media in Lahore, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said party meeting reviewed relief given in electricity bills by federal and Punjab governments.
He said party president Nawaz Sharif directed to reduce expenses of government to provide more relief to the people.
Ahsan Iqbal said Nawaz Sharif also directed to complete reforms in local bodies law as it was part of party’s manifesto.
