PMLN leader condemns Punjab Institute of Cardiology incident

Lahore (11th Dec, 2019): Pakistan Muslim League-N releases statement, claims reports of death toll of patients under treatment is tragic.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, in an official statement by PML-N, spokeswoman Maryam Aurangzeb, has condemned the ongoing turmoil in the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore. Aurangzeb has reportedly offered condolences for the tragic deaths of the patients caused due to the uncivil acts of the lawyers and judicial body.

Aurangzeb has reportedly stated that the incident should be thoroughly investigated. She has added that the actions of the lawyers are neither justifiable nor acceptable. Moreover, she has stated that the report on deaths of patients under treatment at the PIC is extremely tragic.

According to reports, Aurangzeb has stated that PMLN severely condemns the tragic incident which occurred earlier today, in the PIC hospital in Lahore. She has added that it is condemnable for the legal community to have broken the law.

Moreover, Aurangzeb has stated that the situation faced by the PTI Ministers, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid and Fiaz-ul-Hassan Chauhan is also tragic. She has further stated that such negative and condemnable narrative is “rooted in Imran’s own and PTI’s own doing” and that PM Imran Khan and PTI are reaping the effects of what they had sown for their political opponents.

Maryam Aurangzeb has further stated that PM Khan should forget about the former PM Nawaz Sharif and his brother, Shehbaz Sharif, so that he can focus on the need of the hour. She has further questioned the motives of the ruling government by stating, “the question that arises here is why PM Imran Khan and CM Usman Buzdar waited for this day when the issue had been initiated days prior?”

Aurangzeb has additionally stated that it is due to poor strategy of the government that two important sectors of society are locking heads against each other.

“A hospital has been turned into a battlefield”, she stated, “this is show of the criminal negligence and incompetence of the incompetent government”. Moreover, she has stated that if the government had not shown such criminal negligence in the matter, the issue could have been dealt with greater care.

The PMLN leader has further stated that the turmoil has led to the deaths of innocent patients which is extremely tragic. “Our heartfelt condolences to the affected families, who are with them in this moment of grief”, she added.

It is to be noted that hospitals, schools and religious establishments are places which are supposed to be symbols of peace even during times of war. Therefore, the uncivil actions of the lawyers as demonstrated at the PIC on 11th of December, 2019 should be enough for the public to think-over the deterioration of society.
