Police arrests Chinese citizen over rape charges

On Thursday, police arrested a Chinese citizen in a rape case in Sector F-7/1, in Islamabad. The victim is reported to be another foreign girl. The Kohsar police have arrested the accused after getting a preliminary medical examination report.

According to the victim, she was working at the office of the accused for the last two years. The Kohsar police have recovered unlicensed arms and ammunition during a raid at the foreigner’s house including Klashanikov rifles, pistols, and hundreds of rounds.

The police have registered two First Information Reports (FIR) over charges of rape and keeping illegal weapons. The victim, who is said to be an Afghan national, lodged a complaint with the Kohsar Police Station stating that the accused was engaged in a business of import and export.

According to the victim’s statement, she went to the accused’s office to receive her salary but he took to her to a five-star hotel for dinner. He said to the victim that he does not have money in his pocket at the moment but he could pay her from his home.

However, he took her to his house in F-7/1, where he again proposed to her. The victim turned him down, which infuriated him and he raped her forcibly. The accused also threatened her of dire consequences.

The victim also told the police that the accused’s (Chinese) wanted her to marry him and despite his repeated insistence, she refused to accept his proposal. The man had been bearing all her expenses and was even ready to revert to Islam in order to marry her.

The police have initiated an investigation after contacting the embassy of the accused about his wrongdoings and illegal occupation of arms and ammunition.
