The police arrested a man for blackmailing well-known TikTok star Jannat Mirza.
A man named AsfandYar shared the edited photos and inappropriate videos of Jannat Mirza and her sister online and claimed that it belonged to Jannat Mirza and her sister.
According to Jannat Mirza who posted her response on her Instagram story, the so called leaked photos that have been going viral on social media are completely fake.
The FIA arrested the accused along with two others from Lahore. Jannat Mirza had registered a case in this regard in the Cyber Crime Division.
Asfandyar, who was arrested on charges of blackmailing, confessed during the interrogation that he wanted to marry Jannat Mirza’s sister but when she refused, he started harassing the two sisters online.
This is the second time fake pictures of her have been shared on social media and warns of actions against anyone being involved.
Notably, a Dark Web group has been active in Pakistan for leaking videos and nude photos of women.
According to the details, the group is earning lakhs of rupees through blackmailing by leaking pictures of actresses and TikTok celebrities. The women in the group are trapping men by sending nasty pictures without their faces. The group also blackmails women by making their fake inappropriate pictures. So far no action has been taken by the FIA cyber wing or any other agency in this regard.
