Shafiq Amini, a spokesman for the banned party, said in a video message, “police forces suddenly attacked us at the Lahore Markaz at 8 am today, killing a large number of our workers and injuring several others.”

He added that they will bury those who got killed only when the French ambassador is expelled out of the country and their agreement with the government is implemented.

Meanwhile, police officials confirmed that an operation was underway at Lahore’s Yateem Khana Chowk but did not give any further details.

TLP has shared a video of a senior Punjab police official who was allegedly caught by the workers, who said that an operation is carried out to clear the area outside the police station where he was captured by the enraged TLP activists.
